We only collect data that we need for your enquiry, and we keep it only for as long as necessary. We do not sell data and do not use advertising or analytics services.

When you submit one of our forms, we collect the information you enter there:

• Contact form: name, email address, your message and, if provided, your telephone number.
• Sell a vehicle: details of your vehicle such as make, model, first registration, mileage, fuel, transmission, condition and asking price, plus your comments, your name, email address and telephone number as well as the preferred way of contact. Photos are voluntary.
• Appointment booking: type of appointment, preferred date and time, your request, name, email address and, if provided, telephone number. Depending on the type of appointment, also details of the vehicle or the number plate.

Each form requires your express consent to this policy. We record when you gave your consent.

Photos that you upload with the sales form are not stored. They are transmitted solely as an attachment to our mailbox and afterwards exist only in that email. Our system only records how many photos you sent.

We use your information solely to process your enquiry, to contact you and, if a transaction results, to carry it out. No other use takes place.

Enquiries are automatically moved to a recycle bin 366 days after receipt and permanently deleted 30 days later, including internal notes. Enquiries deleted by hand follow the same 30-day rule. Emails in our mailbox and the photos contained in them are subject to our usual retention in business dealings.

To prevent our forms from being misused on a large scale, we limit the number of enquiries per hour. For this purpose, your IP address is not stored but converted into a check value that cannot be reversed and is deleted after two days at the latest.

On the public part of the website we do not set any cookies. We use your browser’s local storage for three purposes: your watchlist of vehicles, your choice between light and dark display, and a draft of the sales form so that your entries are not lost when the page is reloaded. This data does not leave your device and is not read by us. The draft is deleted when the form is submitted. If you have not submitted the form, the draft is removed the next time the page is opened, as soon as it is older than seven days. You can delete the local storage at any time via your browser settings.

In the internal area for employees we set a technically necessary cookie for the login, which expires after four hours.

We use no visitor statistics, no analytics tools and no advertising networks. No profiling takes place.

The chat function on our website works exclusively in your browser with predefined answers. Your entries are not transmitted and not stored.

To operate the website we work with the following service providers, who process your data solely on our behalf:

• A provider for operating the website. The server functions through which your form entries are processed run in Frankfurt. Static content such as images and page frameworks is delivered via a worldwide delivery network so that the page loads quickly. In the process, connection data including the IP address is generated for technical reasons.
• A provider for the database in which your enquiry is stored, with a server location in Switzerland.
• A Swiss provider for our email mailbox, through which the notification and your confirmation are sent.
• The vehicle details and vehicle images on our website come from the vehicle platform on which we advertise our used cars. When you view them, no data about you is transmitted to this platform.

The first two companies mentioned have their registered office in the United States, even though the servers are located in Europe and Switzerland. Access from the USA can therefore not be completely ruled out. On request we will tell you the names of all service providers used.

Our website contains links to map services, messengers and our seller profile on the vehicle platform. Data is only transmitted to the respective provider once you click such a link. Its privacy provisions apply to this.

The internal area is password-protected and accessible only to employees. When a purchase contract is created, the buyer data entered is temporarily stored in the browser of the person processing it and removed after seven days. The public address search of the Swiss Confederation is used for entering addresses.

You have the right to request information about the data processed about you, to demand its correction or deletion, and to withdraw any consent given at any time. Please contact the address stated above for this. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Federal Data Protection and Information Commissioner.

We may amend this policy if our website or the services used change. The version published on this page at the relevant time is authoritative.
